Sean: Movember Supporter

  1. Sean’s words of wisdom for a groom on his wedding day:
Leave nothing to the last minute. Your wedding day will be a whirlwind and over almost before it starts. Make sure your best man does not lose things if he’s holding your rings. Try not to cry at the altar like I…err…other people have.
  1. Best beach destination:
The beaches in Turks & Caicos are by far the most beautiful I’ve been too. Crystal clear water, fine sand and amazing weather. The Island itself is amazing, great people and some of the best dining you will find anywhere
  1. What I love about Muay Thai:
The thrill of one on one combat.  Team sports are one thing, but the intensity and dedication needed for Muay thai is amazing and challenging.  Muay thai, the art of 8 limbs digs deep into man's pure aggression however it's also beautiful.  Not to mention, driving a hard leg kick into someone’s thigh or a hook to the kidney is very satisfying.

MJ edit: In case y'all were wondering, his AMAZING coat is from Montreal's own Rudsak.

Stache Brother Paul DG's Day 5 Progress Pic

  1. Best place to brunch in Montreal:
L’Avenue. It will sap your wallet, but the attention to everything on your plate is remarkable, no matter what you order. The food is consistently delicious, which is kind of a tall order for most places.
  2. Most ambitious recipe I've ever tackled:
I am going to say Fondants au Chocolat.  Desserts are always infinitely more difficult, you’re dealing with chemistry. This dessert requires enormous attention from assembling and combining the ingredients to ensuring that the cake is baked perfectly in the ramekin, to the point that you have that smooth, decadent chocolate oozing out with your first attack of the fork. I am always still a bit nervous before doing it.
3.      Why my stache trumps all others:
Debonair, swashbuckling, regal – these are words I’d use to describe it.
My ‘stache? It’s a classy    ‘stache.

Stache Brother Derrick P.'s Day 5 progress photo

  1. Farthest I've been from Montreal and why:
By far (hehe), the farthest I’ve been would be Bali of the Indonesian islands.  I was looking for something more exotic than the metropolitan area of Tokyo (where I was living at that time) and I decided to do a scuba diving excursion.  I also paid a visit to my dear cousin who decided to relocate there for her work.  Do not get stalled on the flight price, you will be blown away by the beauty of this island.
  1. If I were stranded on a desert island I'd take this book, this album, and this person:
Deserted island huh?  I guess I would bring the “FM 21-76 US Army Survival Manual.  With this book I should be able to get some good practical skills to build whatever I would need and/or want.  I still have to find how to make a plasma TV though.  Album?  Abbey Road ! Do I need an explanation?  The person is a tricky one, In terms of useful person… I’d go with Chuck Norris.  He would tame wild animals on the island just by breathing on them and roundhouse kick a tunnel to the next populated island! Can somebody say “coconut island party”? Aah ii kiki ~
  1. Why my stache trumps all others:
My stache (when equipped) has the same punch as Brad’s in Inglourious Basterds and at the same time is as sophisticated as Salvador Dali’s.  It trumps, you’ll see.

Three little-known Chuck Norris facts:
  • There is no such thing as tornados. Chuck Norris just hates trailer parks.
  • A duck’s quack does not echo. Chuck Norris is solely responsible for this phenomenon. When asked why he will simply stare at you, grimly.
  • There is no chin behind Chuck Norris' beard. There is only another fist.

  1. Words of wisdom:
Work hard, think positively, don’t worry and smile! See your biggest issues as a challenge.
  1. Best date night restaurant:
Definitely Restaurant des Érables, up in the Eastern Townships (Foster). From the outside and inside, it looks like a canteen BUT Kod, the guy who bought that place, is a Chef…a real one!!   Wow, I was nicely surprised. First I thought: “Did he really bring me into a canteen for our first dinner?”   Finally, it was so good and simple! What a nice place to go!
  1. What I think about moustaches, in 5 words or less:
    Funny, Prickly and virile!

Sebastien: Movember Supporter

I'll be hosting my first annual champagne party in the old port.

  2. The teams I follow:
I follow my favorite football team; the New England Patriots.

  3. If I could wake up tomorrow in a different city it would be:
Tokyo, Japan!  Never been, but would love to one day.

* Note: Seb wanted a few photos in colour and chipped in a little more for Movember ;)

  1. Favourite restaurant:
California Pizza. I can't get enough of their calzones!
  2. Best vacation destination:
Bali. An amazing combination of Asian culture and arts, sand and surf, friendly people and just getting away from it all.
  3. Why my stache trumps all others:
It stops most small arms fire.

Ena: Movember supporter

  1. Best restaurant for a date night: Le Petit Coin de Mexique (authentic Mexican very cute, not messy, annnnnnnd not expensive!)
  2. Three names in the running for my baby: Nathan, Desmond, and Adrian
  3. My thoughts on moustaches, in 5 words: Sexy, hot, mysterious, mature, and OH MYYYYY!!!!

Stache Bro: Sylvain-Marc!

1. Favourite weekend activity:
Playing classical guitar or piano are the activities I like most.

2. Best vacation destination:
The place I come from, Lac St-Jean.  The lake is so big that you don't see the other side.  You feel like it's a sea but a quiet one.  And it's so good to swim in it.

3. "Why my moustache trumps all others!":
The right question would be "Why all other moustaches would trump mine!"
J

Stache Bro: Johnny Marketing!

  1. Best brunch place in town:
    1. On the island, I’d have to say “La Petite Marche” on St. Denis.  A lot of places have good breakfast, but bad coffee. They get it all right.  They used to have this Nutella crepe that I ordered all the time…they recently dropped it off their menu.  I’m a little upset about that…I love my Nutella!  But I can confirm that the rest of the options are just as good.
    2. If you are near Laval, you absolutely have to try “Allo mon coco”.  The best breakfast place, hands-down!  They put 2 different types of cheese on top their hashbrown - amazing!  Whatever you order…it’s more food than you can eat. Wear jogging pants and a diaper to be comfortable all day. Kidding…don’t wear jogging pants, that’s disgusting and you’ll be under-dressed.
  2. Favorite city in Europe:
    1. That has to go to Prague!  It’s where I proposed to my wife, so it gets the edge.  The whole place is beautiful to look at and the food is great.  An honorable mention goes to Italy.  I have family there and have absolutely loved it the few times I visited. There is just something about Europe; you have to visit yourself to understand.
  3. Why my stache will trump all others:
    1. Haha! I may need more than 30 days…but I’m confident you’ll be seeing a stache that has Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom star-power!  I’m thinking big here.  I may have to leave my current job for the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie.  Does Disney offer good benefits?
